IMC Scrapers at the World Ag Expo 2014

February 19, 2014
IMC Scrapers exhibited at the 47th annual World Ag Expo in Tulare, California. More than 50 countries were represented at this year's Expo, which boasts 2.6 million square feet of exhibit space on 260 acres of show grounds. With 1,500 exhibitors and 100,000 attendees, World Ag Expo is the world's largest annual agricultural exposition. IMC brought their Folding Land Leveler and introduced a new design – The Carry All Fixed Blade with a Walking Tandem, CFB-WT. This scraper has a gate for transporting material, a fixed blade for precision leveling, and a walking tandem to reduce the “duck walking”. Contractors have been asking for this design and IMC is providing it!

Visitors to the IMC booth were concerned about water conservation. Land owners have realized the importance of precision leveling their farms. California has had three years of below-normal rain and snow and it is suffering from a severe drought. Many farmers in California's Central Valley, one of the most productive agricultural regions in the country, draw water from a federally run system of reservoirs and canals that will deliver just a fraction of its normal water allotment this year. Land leveling will play a major role in helping the farmers conserve that allotment of water.
