(Press Release)
The
industry has talked and we have listened. IMC
unveiled its new models for the Construction
and Mining industries in April 2008; the 18GECS
and 21GECS. Both of these models will provide
the capacity these industries require while
operating less than twelve total feet.
IMC is very excited about the 21GECS. One customer
stated that this scraper is the “Future
in Earthmoving”.This scraper has 21 yds³
heaped capacity while delivering a cutting width
of 10.5’ and operating width of 11’11”.
This is by far the widest cutting width available
for scrapers operating under 12’. Other
scrapers with this yard capacity usually have
a total operating width of 14’ or more.
This causes problems with transportation from
job site to job site. The IMC GECS21 can now
be transported without having to purchase and
wait for escorts for oversized loads.
The
IMC GE scrapers are unique to the industry because
of its tough and reliable “Scissor Ejection”
technology. IMC’s scissor ejection is
far superior to other ejection systems. This
technology relies on one six inch cylinder that
extends/retracts the “Scissor Assembly”.
The “Scissor” always remains “true”
meaning the ejector wall moves evenly discharging
the soil from the bowl. Many other scraper ejection
systems rely on multiple cylinders, rollers,
tracks and guides that must always work perfectly
together. If those systems get out of line,
for any reason, the ejection system can twist,
bend or break which can lead to expensive repairs
and extended downtime.
